The following file, uncompressed and positioned in your ~/Library/Preferences folder, will tell Safari that BitTorrent files should be opened with your favourite client. One click and you are ready to go. 
For those of you that are still stuck with Mac OS 10.3 or older, the AppleScript based version is still available. Somewhere.

I see that microtorrent is currently the best torrent client available on the market. its closed source but i guess that vize is not possible to shake hands with it, the differences are to big.
