On April 11, 2006, a new version of 7zX had been released to the public. In the evening, however, an user sent us an important report, concerning the security of my product.
In order to make sure nobody would get hurt, I decided to take off any versions of 7zX I could find on the ‘net, including obviously the ones you could download from our website.
The problem is caused by a bug in the tool used to compile 7zX. I will have a chat with the author of that software sometime today, and I will be soon hopefully able to release an updated version 1.3.4.
That’s it for now, stay tuned.
What you mean by “the security of my product” ? I’m using the 1.3.2, do I need to stop using it? Can I damage something if I continue? Thanks!
No, users do not have to worry for their computers.
Oh ok!
I see there is a new version…will grab!
Thanks for the answer and for your good work! It a usefull and nice piece of app!
