You can access the Password dialog by holding the “P” key after dropping a file or folder on the icon of 7zX. Actually, this step is also needed while decompressing an archive, due to a limitation in the compression/decompression core I didn’t overcome yet.

In the same way, you can test the integrity of an archive by holding the “T” key after dropping a file or folder on the icon of 7zX.

The Workflows that came with 1.4are not working. They start up then just exit.

What problems are you having exactly? I tried them all, and they appear to work here. :?

pick a file any file, right click, slect automator, and create archive .7z and it starts the work flow and then just exits.

They are working here. Automator workflows are so simple I don’t think they may contain any bugs. Maybe you got more than a copy of 7zX on your hard disk?

I remember in previous versions, I could choose which kind of compression form after dragging files or folders onto the 7zx icon. I mean if I want to compress into another form such as, 7-Zip (Safe), all I can do is to open 7zx.app and specify one of the forms. Then I can compress my files into 7-zip(safe) form. Is that normal?

I modified 7zX to work in that way after receiving a request. Indeed, it makes it a faster (better?) application. The format you select is saved, so you can pick it once and then create thousands of 7-Zip archives without setting it again. :)
