I can’t seem to find any link to donate. The PayPal link seems to be broken.

    Is 7zX not freeware?

Also, can you add files to an existing compressed file with 7zX?

7zX is freeware, but we are accepting donations in order to cover at least a minimal part of our expenses (icons, site bandwidth, etc.)

At the moment you can’t add files to an existing archive. The main reason for doing this is the necessity of keeping the software as simple as possible. Moreover, 7zX produces solid archives. Solid archives treat their files as if it was one single large file. Thats how maximum compression is achived and for the same reason, you cant differentiate between files to delete/update them.

cool software, but how do i get the other icons to show up for the different archives? I’ve got a ton of zip files and if i choose 7zX as the default opener app, it shows 7zX icons for all the zip files instead of zip. I noticed that you had a set of icons posted, but can’t seem to get them to show. Was this feature removed from the app?

I had noticed that they didn’t look well at smaller sizes (< 64 pixels), so I took them down. :(

(They will be hopefully restored soon tho’.)
