    Hi People at Sixty Five
Could you please explain somewhere in your site (if the is already an explanation, I’m very very sorry but haven’t found it yet) about what exactly is smartctl 1.1-5.37 and how to use it, please.
I’ve been using 7zX for a time now and I thank you a LOT for it, it has been really usefull for many things. About smartctl I downloaded it and haven’t been able to do anythiing with it, I dont know where to put or how to lunch it
In any case, thank you VERY much for your work, it IS very useful

smartctl controls and monitors storage systems using the S.M.A.R.T system built into most modern ATA and SCSI hard disks. In many cases, this utility can provide advanced warning of disk degradation and failure.

You can launch the software as a regular application: once you opened it, you will see a new icon in your menu bar. If you click on that icon, smartctl will perform a test on your hard disk, and display the results.

S.M.A.R.T monitoring is also provided by tools like Apple’s Disk Utility, however, smartctl will give you many other informations on the status of your hard disk, such as the count of full hard disk power on/off cycles, the current hard disk drive temperature, the count of hours in power-on state, and more!

I would like to download smartctl but the download-link is just an anchor on this site. Can you help me with this?
