My question is, how do i extract or open those files with 7zx, because when i drag & drop all the files into the 7zx.dmg it's going to create 53 "***.7z.053.7z" files, and when i opened those files with 7zx. it's going to create another 53 "***.7z.053" files which are the same as the 53 i've downloaded. The extraction went smoothly but when I tried to launch the app the console reports a "permission denied" error. Re-extracting using the native Archive utility works as expected and the application now runs fine. You need to make sure that your app sets the permissions correctly. Especially on apps. When I try it again after that, it prompts for a password. 7zX does remember this particular file, so when I extract it again after that, it will prompt for a password again. The folder I was compressing is only 6.5 Gb. The temp file gets to about 9.8 Gb before the crash. There was about 30 Gb free disk space when I started. A friend recommended 7zX, and I installed it yesterday. It worked great. I had to open a rar archive, and found that 7zX could not handle it (as 7-Zip on Windows includes unRAR). I installed <a href="http://wakaba.c3.cx/s/apps/unarchiver.html" class="postlink">The Unarchiver</a> because of this, and now I have a very odd problem. 7zX will not unpack 7z or zip files anymore when I doulbe click them in the Finder. It keeps bringing up the "Add to Archive" dialog. I can't find a way to make 7zX unpack anymore. I have tried uninstalling both 7zX and The Unarchiver by moving the .app files to the trash, (Is this the correct way to uninstall a program?) and then reinstalling 7zX. It still does not unpack and tries to compress my already 7z or zip files. Any ideas? I am running OS X 10.5.4. When 7zx-ing it it quits when the temp file reaches about 21GB.
