Using the last version of 7zx, 1.7.1, I can't uncompress archive with a japanese name, or inside a folder named in japanese. Instead it will try to compress the archive again. It didn't happen with the 1.6.x version.
1) Which language are you using with your operating system?
English
2) Where did you copy 7zX in order to install it? (i.e. internal or external hard disk)
Internal
3) Are you booting your Mac from the same disk?
Yes
3) What is the full path to the 7zX application? (i.e. /Applications/7zX.app)
/Application/7zx.app
4) Do you have write access on the folder containing 7zX and the folder containing the items you are trying to compress?
Yes
I'm using a Macbook Pro 2.2ghz

Could you forward to us an archive triggering that problem?Posted 3 years ago #

Sorry I didn't monitor much the forum
While trying to recreate the bug again, I realize that it's not the japanese character that made the bug, but a string of number in bracket [], and it also happens with archive inside a folder with such name.
Here is an archive triggering the problem.
