Whenever I try to compress something with the new 7zX 1.6.7, I get a bus error. The console says 7za crashed.
The crashlog looks similar to other crashes I get when using apps that are supposedly compatible with both Tiger and Leopard.
Can a copy of 1.6.7 be had? It worked.

Could you mention the Macintosh model on which you are getting these errors?
I think I'm seeing a pattern here.

This issue will be fixed as soon as krmathis, mantainer of the software that handles compression/decompression within 7zX, will provide us working binaries.
In the mean time, version 1.6.7 can be found at the following address:
http://sixtyfive.thesneaky.com/temporary/7zX_1.6.7.dmg
Downgrade your version of 7zX only if you are experiencing bus errors; once you have installed the software, ignore any Software Update notifications.Posted 3 years ago # -
Ah, wonderful. Thanks.
Did you figure out what the exact problem was?Posted 3 years ago # -
Most likely just a bad compile.
