New! :: 7zX 1.6

Posted on Saturday 3 February 2007

Long live the AppleDouble standard: you can now create archives which remain compatible with almost any system while retaining Macintosh resource forks and Spotlight metadata.

7zX 1.6 doesn’t contain the reminders for donations present in the past releases; remember, however, that this project still relies on your contributions! A Startup Guide in PDF format has been finally included in the disk image. Have fun. :D

New! :: 7zX 1.5.2

Posted on Monday 6 November 2006

This new release of 7zX fixes some problems we found with the new password detection feature: it looks like the compression core expands 0 B files and folders before prompting for a password, and this caused 7zX not to prompt the user on certain archives.

Last but not least, it also includes some interesting optimizations and a rewritten Self-Extracting Archive core. :)

New! :: 7zX 1.5.1

Posted on Tuesday 31 October 2006

7zX 1.5.1 is not your regular maintenance update: our software now automatically detects password-protected archives; also, we have completely rewritten the compression routines, which should now be much faster and efficient! :D
